I agree that a personal and professional guitar teacher would be the best way to go for a beginner guitar player to make sure that the foundation of basics is well reinforced.

Yes, as the first tip says “Find a friend who has already made some progress on the guitar”.
Most of the guitar greats where self taught though. Still, a personal teacher is obviously going to help a lot.
Not all online guitar lessons are just plain pictures. There are a lot of great videos as well.
Passion and perseverance are what make a great guitarist, so I’d say just get busy with it and keep going and you’ll get where you want to be, guitar teacher or not.

You know I really, really suggest that its better if we first undergo basic personal training before we take the training online cause for me it will be difficult to follow the online guitar teaching because unlike the personal training that someone will support you, online guitar lesson was only plain pictures and steps (I bet).
