Can you learn guitar with the Jamorama guitar course?

The short answer?

Yes!

But I’m absolutely the wrong person to review Jamorama.

I didn’t learn to play guitar with Jamorama, so that disqualifies me immediately. This guitar course wasn’t around 30 years ago. I didn’t have a guitar course at all, except for Alfreds chord book, which was very basic.

The book didn’t even have barre chords in it, as far as I can remember. The guy who was on night shift at the record library taught me how to play barre chords.

I used to go there to take out Led Zeppelin records, and they where just around the corner.

This guy taught me how to play Smoke on the water, and I don’t even remember his name. I could go into detail about my whole learning experience, but the short version is that I’m almost totally self taught, and picked up the pieces as I went along.

So how does that relate to you?

I’m trying not to ramble on about my own life, as bloggers tend to do, so let me cut to the chase.

It took me 3 years to go from an absolute beginner, to playing lead guitar in my first band. Not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I could play lead guitar quite well by then.

You could probably do better than me, and a lot sooner with a decent guitar course like Jamorama.

I didn’t have the luxury, you do.

Let’s look at the facts.
The Jamorama guitar course is sold via clickbank, which means there are statistics we can check.

Apart from being able to tell how popular the guitar course is, we can also look at their refund rate.
The good thing about anything sold on clickbank, is that a 60 day full refund is compulsory.

Anyone selling anything through clickbank is forced to offer this, and if they don’t honour it, clickbank will step in on the customers behalf and enforce it.

Seeing as Jamorama is the top guitar course in the clickbank marketplace, and has been for more than 2 years, we’ve got something to work with.

A look at the stats shows us that Jamorama pays their affiliates 75% commission, and that 70% of their sales come through their affiliates.

Which means most of the time they’re only making about 9 dollars per sale of this course.

The affiliates make most of the money, but if too many people ask for refunds, the affiliate as well as Jamorama lose money.

The main reason why this guitar course is at the top of clickbank is because it performs well and delivers on its promise. That’s not sales hype, it’s just a fact.

What level is Jamorama best for.

It’s best to get Jamorama when you’re a total beginner on guitar, or at least only gone a little way.

This isn’t necessarily a review of Jamorama, in fact, most of what I have to say here relates to any guitar course for beginners, but it’ll also give you a fair idea of what’s inside Jamorama.

As a beginner your first port of call should be rhythm guitar lessons, and that means learning all the theory as it applies to guitar chords and music creation in general.

The problem with a lot of guitarists, myself included, is that we get lazy. If you’ve been playing guitar for a while, and you know all the basic guitar chords and barre chords already, and you can play songs easily from a guitar chord song book, then you should rather look at the Jamorama lead guitar course instead.

While it’s true that there’s a lot more to the Jamorama course than just learning how to play chords, unless you want to take guitar playing up seriously, and progress on to lead guitar lessons, then you might be under the impression that all the theory and advanced chord techniques aren’t important.

The reason I say that is, chances are, like me you’ll be too lazy to go into the whole theory behind the chords and structure of chord progressions. Maybe I should correct myself here and say that I WAS lazy, but it became quite obvious to me once I started getting more involved with music that I needed to get this stuff down.

Learning chord theory is also a great help when it comes to songwriting, although some people will manage to get by with the bare minimum, not all of your ideas are going to be straight forward C, F and G type stuff.

Learning how to play guitar is a never ending process

I like to think of your first guitar course as a doorway. It has to get you prepared properly so you’re comfortable playing on the guitar, and know exactly what you’re doing.

Once you understand how chords are put together, how chord progressions work and the basics of music theory, you’re half way to playing lead guitar.

In my opinion, Jamorama is a great course for laying the foundation of everything else you’ll ever do on the guitar. It’s done methodically on an easy to follow gradient so you won’t get overwhelmed, but like I said, learning how to play guitar really is an ever expanding process.

After 30 years of playing guitar there are still new things for me to try and get my fingers around.

How to play guitar like Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton… and so on.

First of all, this isn’t something for the beginner guitarist to worry about, but seeing as this is something that many guitarists want to learn, let’s look at it.

In my own experience, the only time another guitarists style of playing has ever become part of my own style, is when I’ve worked out their solos and played them repeatedly at gigs.

When I started out playing the guitar, I wanted to sound like Jimi Hendrix. It was because I listened to him a lot that I repeatedly tried to copy his riffs and solos.

No beginner guitar course is going to teach you exactly how to play like these greats, but once you have a grasp of the techniques they used, you’re a lot closer.

It takes a fair deal of immersing yourself in their playing styles and music before it really becomes your own.

Still…. wouldn’t you rather develop your own unique voice on the guitar? All the great guitarists did.

Don’t expect to get the level of immersion needed to copy any one particular guitarist in Jamorama, but it will prepare you extremely well for the journey, especially if you take the special offer and get the lead guitar course as well.
